GIRL TERRORISTS.
According to an English resident, of St. Petersburg, the fact that Russian revolutionaries have now adopted the method of entrusting the execution of their schemes of vengeance to young §omen greatly embarrasses the ussian police. 'Nowadays a bomb may fly from the gloved hand- of a daintilydressed girl, of lie concealed in her bouquet or muff. These girl terrorists may well be feared. They have more selfdevotion than men, and do not hesitate to go to extremes. One of them recently escaped from prison through a tunnel dug by friends outside. On emerging from the tunnel, revolver in hand, she shot three warders dead and severely wounded a fourth. This explains the brutality with which female revolutionaries like the well-known Marie Spiridonoff are handled by the police and soldiers. They are dreaded more than the male terrorists.
