TOWN RESERVES.
[To the Editor.] Sib, — Your direction to the above matter is opportune, and should receive the attention it deserves. As you remark the town is net too liberally endowed with reserves, and anything like good building allotments are being snapped up directly they are put upon the market. The destruction of that fine plantation over looking the town would, I consider, be a great calamity, and the Town Board ought so institute a movement so as to preserve at least a
portion of the plantation for public use. Considering the increased value of town section, and the big price which the owners must receive for this prpperty, were the request made it is probable a portion of this land would be given to the Town Board for the purpose indicated. At any rate, I suggest this course being adopted. It is at least worth asking for. — lam. Ac., Old Hand.
