Fox, C. Thompson, A. Young, Cook, H. Simpson, McCorkindale; emer., T. Staines, Baskiville, Bogle. NOTES. The N.S.W. Metropolitan Rugby Union, with a view to checking rough plays, has decided to appoint touch umpires at all important matches, with power to report to the referee any rough play, it has also decided to distribute plain clothes constables among the crowds, with tbe object of removing persons using bad language. This departure is approved in football circles and by the press.
