Football.
The Waipawa County Rugby Sub-union met on Wednesday evening. Present:—-Messrs Collett and Gebbie (Waipawa), G. Ellison and G. Lomas (Waipukurau), Hutchinson (Onga Onga), and Mr Graham, secretary of the Union. Mr Gebbie was voted to the chair. Letter was read from Mr P. Hunter, accepting the position of president, and from Messrs G. Hunter and, J. W. Harding, accepting the office of vice-presidents. Messrs Lomas and Collett were appointed delegates to attend a meeting of the delegates from the various unions. Mr Ellison moved, that the expense of the delegates attending meetings the Hawke's Bay Union be paid.—Carried. The delegates were instructed to support a motion that three selectors be appointed, instead of one as at present. Mr Ellison moved, [Mr Gebbie seconded, that bye-laws, rule No. 5 of the Union be amended and the following be added — “ That all sub-unions participate in any profits arising out of representative matches according to representation of players from? subunions.”—Carried. - The following teams are entered for the season : —Senior—Waipawa and Waipukurau. Junior—-Wai-pukurau, Waipawa, and > Onga Thirds —Waipukurau and Waipawa. The seniors are tip play threejounds (fortnightly); j uuiors three rounds (weekly); thirds, five rounds (fortnightly). Messrs)Gebbie, Lomas, and Hutchinson were appointed a sub-committee (to arfixtures. Messrs GoosemaAi, D. O’Reilly, Lomas, A. C. Norms, T. H«bson, Wolstenholme and Gebbie wSe appointed referees. Mr Debbie proposed a vote of thanksi to the secretary, Mr Graham. Mr Collett spoke of the abilities and the capable and efficient mann/ar in which Mr Graham had carried out his duties. /'
