The report disclosed a loss of £l4.9B3—equal to two-thirds of the company’s capital. The programme of the Waipukurau Jockey Club’s Easter meeting is published. Nominations close on March 12th. A couple of local sports are the richer by several pounds through the Wanganui races. ©E’scket Havelock v. Waipukurau. The following will rep resent the Waipukurau Cricket Club against a team from Havelock,to be played here tomorrow (Saturday), commencing at 11 o clock : Bibby, Wolstenhoime, Pettit, Chambers, Wilson, Wilder, Smith, Godfray, Sharpin, Tipping, Speedy, J. McJLCgrkindale : emergencies, Edmondand Seymour. The team selected to represent Hawke’s Bay against Wellington includes nine of those who played against Auckland. i Masicyton will be played by the X Napier team on its return journey from the capital.
