School Committee.

—o — The Waipukurau School Committee held a meeting on Wednesday evening. Present —Messrs P. Gow (chairman), Barrie, F. Bailey, Lomas, and Nicholson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Miss Court’s resignation was read and accepted. Un the motion of Mr Lomas, seconded by Mr Bailey, it was resolved that Miss Mitchell be recommended to the Board as i pupil teacher to fill vacancy. School report was received, enclosing the sum of 18s. Resolved, that the master’s action re Rudolph Luting be approved. It was decided to hand absent pupils’ names to the constable, to take action. Accounts amounting to £26 3s were passed for payment.
