PRICE OF FRUIT.

[To the Editor.] Sir, —By his manner of writing your correspondent, H. Poynter, admits that at least a portion of my letter was correct, as he is only prepared to explain away a part of it. I, and doubtless others, would like to hear his explanation, as one in the business, though of course I had not Mr P. in mind any more than anyone else when I wrote. As I am a near neighbor of your correspondent, it would serve no good purpose to publish my proper name, as some feeling might be caused when such can be avoided. I still maintain that fruit seems to be unwarrantedly dear in a fruitgrowing province. Of course Ido not refer to imported tropical fruits. —Yours, etc., Consumer.
