By Telegraph.—Press Association Nelson, this day. Tub Boys' Gollego is utterly destroyed by tho lira thus occurred yestorday. except the Sanatorium. Owing to luck of water at the start tho fire got a good hold, and when a bettor supply came it was unavail ing, as tho building was of white pine. A rumour thut tho firo originated through tho painters scorching off tho paint is unfounded, as tho second coat of paint wits being put on. The fire was tirst observed in the fourth form' class room, whore smoke was übservod. Tho outbreak apparently ocourred at 11.45 in tho northeast corner, between the ceiling of tho lower floor and tho floor of tho upper storey. Tho value of the buildimj and contents was $5,000, Tho insurances on tho building wero as follows: —Liverpool, London and Globe, £2500; Now Zeftliml, bouth British and National, £IOOO each; Imperial. 1800. The furniture was insured in tho Now Zealand, Liverpool, London and Globo for i! 500 in each uilico, and in I lie Victoria for 1250. The Now Zealand oflieo had -t'soo on the carpentors' toots, which wero owned by the Education Board. The lacklack of water was due to tho town supply not being turned off early enough,
