At tho Wiirdcn'9' Court this morning the principal erne was an application for the forioituro of tiio Now Gloucester mine, the plaint being lodge;! by Goorgo Dougtl. It was alleged and admitted that for a period of live Wc-cks from tho 2-lth October tho mine had not boon iminned. The excuse- given was that three men having been employed instead of two for a previous term was owing to tho manager Iwvin? erroneously conclnod that ho could knock the men off while tho company was being rcgistarod, Plaintiff sought to show that for years a meinbor of a syndicate bad Bhopherded the "rounds by menu!) of friendly suits for forfeiture, ' but this was denied by witnesses for tho defence, The Warden mid ho would hi ficircely justified in forfeiting tho property under ehvumshneos, ,mid finally fined defendant .£25 and .£lO costs, (
