Apokland, thiß day. At the Hospital Commission, e'.idenco waa taken with rogard to an operation by hysterectomy performed ou a young girl in .he h rpiial in July last. Tho charge was that such upi/atiou had been unnecessarily and unjustifiably performed by Dr Collins. It had boon included in Dr Noil's list of original charges, but owing, as it was stated, to lack of evidenoo tho charge was not proceeded with by council forDr Neil. Mr. MacGrogor drew tho attomion of the commissioners to tbo fact that the chargs had not been investigated, and the commissioners thereupon decided to call ovidenco themselves, Tho evidence taken went to snow that tho operation waa performed by Dr. Parkos (member of tho honorary staff), assisted by Dr. Collins. At the close of the day's proceedings it was stated by counsel for tho relatives of ihe girl (who died a day or two after tho operation) that ho would make a charge, similar to tho original ohargo, jointly against Dr. Parkos and Dr. Collins.
