Coroner's lnqest Prw» AnoniMtoD.-Onpjrlghk Wellington, this day, At the inquost on the body of Palmer, killed by the gun explosion, Oapt. Hume said there was no reason to intioipate danger. The gun had been in' use for three yoars. Questioned as to why he moved awaj from behind the gun before it was fired, bo eaid ho did not believe on generol prinoiplos in standing directly behind) a gun, but in this instance he moved to got a better view and more comfoitnble position, Other officers followed the same practice, but he did not think there was much in it himself. The enquiry was adjourned till tomorrow.
