A Heavy Fine By Telegraph,—Press Association. Dunedin, this day. At tho Police Court, boforo Mr. Graham S.M., Leo Sun was charged with unlawfully soiling Pakapoo tickets. Tho ovi. (lenca of tho detectives was that accused was the seller of pakapoo tickets, and that others had purchased them from him. Tho dofenco was that tho Supremo Court had already ruled that pakapoo did not oome undor section 18 of tho Gaming and Lotteries Act. Tho magistrate snid that with all respect to the Chief Justice ho thought ho had mailo a mistake The prolits must bo consirlorablo, judging by the number of people who flocko'd to such places. Ho would line defendant i'lflO and cost?. Thoro wore three similar other eases agaiot tho samo defendant, and two against Joo How. Notice of appeal was given in Sun's 'caso, und the other cases wero adjourned pending tlio decision of tho higher Court.
