A very fine monument in connection of the Boor War, ertoted to the late Trooper Whitnoy (who foil at Bothasborg) and eoventy-four volunteers from this district, was unveiled yesterday afternoon in the presence of fifteen hundred people, A procossion of mounted rifles, cadots, roturned troopers, and friendly societies, added to tho interest o? tho gathering. The monument, which is of white niaible, is erected in the triangle at Victoria Terrace, and adds groatly 10 tho attractiveness of that portion of tho town.
