Whole Ship Threatened with Flame

TnE fire on tho Bhip Mount Stewart is continuing to gain steadily, and as there was danger of it spreading to Parbury's wharf, where she wbb lying, she was towed to Berry's Bay and beachod, and now lies with her bos almost under water. Shu is still burning. The steamers continue pouring in water.

The fire was discovered in the Jninin hold and spread forward. It is believed that all the cargo forward of the mainmast is destroyed, The ship is badly damaged, Hor plates are buckled. The vessel lies on a sandy bottom, with hor stern well out of water.

Though the soat of tho fire is to a great extent submerging, tho burning oil aud spirits are floating on the wntor. Tho fire is still blaaing fiercely, threat* oning tho after-part and interfering with tho firemen approaching closo quarters. The Mount Stewart is insured for £IB,OOO, and her oargo between £45,000 and £50,000 Later. Tho Mount Stewart has filled and settled down. The fire, which is now extinguished, did not spread to the hinder part of the vessel
