Yotos for the Dcpartniont of Labour, Polico J>paitment,and Public Trust Ol'iieo wore acrecd to without alteration. The volo for the Department of Land and Survey was discussed for several hours without any progress being made. At 8.20 this morning tho committeo refused tho of the chairman to take an hour'.i adjournment for hroakfast, I At 8.40 Mr Ifciuinjjtoii urged the Government to give members mi hour's respite, I Ho hoped tho Minister would agree to give them as much consideration as wv.s ucces for oven brute boasts, Mr llall-Joue.! suggested that the committee should pass tho kntls and Sta'i'oy Department Estimates and then adjourn till 2,80.' The discussion still proceed' d. l.aO p.:i). The discussion was continued until 12.55, when the committee agreed on the voices to tho itom '' Compctu.uiou to L\ O'Connor, as agreed upon under the Hulotaro Domain Repeal Act, JE270." The committeo, then adjourned until 2.30.
