Somo of the quartz in hand gives ovory indication Hint a good patch may confidently bo expected soon. The operations wore commenced unddr Mr. Comer, whoso appointment has given general satisfaction, Mr, Comer was one of the most successful tributes, and knows every inch of tho mine, and should bo able to report something good to tho company before long, THE ALBUKNIA. Thoro is nothing new to report, The projects arc docidely oncouraging, and the same remark applies to tho Caledonian. THE VICTORIA. The Victoria Company are recommencing operations. This is a wine slop, and should result satisfactorily. Wotk in tho mine is now in full swing, On No. 1 rocf tho drive on tho higher level is being pushed on, mid the stopes will be continued. The lode, which is taking a turn to the easiwird, looks well, and is stronger as it comas jii to the footwall, No. 2 reef is being drivon on in both directions, seaward and into the hill. In the west, or soaward, drive tho reef is now a compact body of ore, with a hoavo eastward, or hillward. Th lodo is not so large, but maintains its averago sizo and quality.
