They rushed a barbed wire fence, ami many of the horses were injured sevortly. Tho bulk traversed tho 14th Hussars camp, causing 500 horses ihoro to stampede. Seventy traversed Winchester, and 200 prun°cd to Southampton. Home were drowned, and 20 died from brokon legs and necks. Two hundred are missing.
