Stdnkt, this dat Me Carrutiikrs, in outlining his policy, said that tho Government was opposed to granting 900 squaro milos of Federal territory for tho capital site, and Parliament would be asked whether it approved of it. The Government programme would contain th- closure, land settlotueni, a Staic bank, and amondmenfc of oleotoral law to provide for the majority rule by continued voting, Aftor Sir H. Bawson's term had oxplred a Lioutedsnt-Governor at a reduced salary would bo appointed.
