Timaru, this day At the l'olico Court this morning a test caso was hoard in which tho Inspector of Faotorios sought to compel tho Timaru Borough Council to registor tho municipal abattoirs undor tho Factories Act, Tho caso was argued beforo Mr Wray, S.M., who dismissed the (nformation, Ho oxpressed tbo opinion that as the abattoirs wero already registoml under tho Slaughtering and Inspector Act another registration was not necessary, and considered it unreasonable to uialte tho Borough Council bring tho establishment under two conflicting authorities, It was etatod that Timaru and Auckland woro tho only towns that bad not registered thoir abattoirs under both Aots,
