An iuqnost was held by Mr. Max D. Kiug | District Coroner, at Montgomery's Hotel, Waikino, jestorday, touohing tbo death of Frano Grubiaio, an Austrian, ngod 80, who was ono of a party of bushuien working for l r r. Hows. The evidenoe showed that doooasod was orossing tho rivor on soino wiro Btretchod norosa, and that whon in tho oontro of tho stream ho fell in, He had a bandlo of tools strapped on his back. His mates heard his ory for help and ran to his as 4 siatanoe, but ho was apparently dead when takon out. His mates did what they could to restoro animation, but did not ap» pear to hava any knowledge of first aid to wounded, etc., audit was seven hours boforo a doctor could roach the place. The body was carried to Waikino yestorday. Evideneo was given by tho doooasod'a brother and two of his mates, also by Mr How, all of which tended to show that it was a caso of accidental drowning. Dr Guinness in his fivideneo said thoro wore no extornal marks of violence, and that drowning was tho cause of doath. A verdict to that efl'ect was giyon, Constable Bain appoarod on behalf of tho police, Dooeaßod loaves a widow and throe little boys in Austria,
