In the House the Postmaster-General stated that the New Zealand Government had inquirod whether Queensland was withdrawing from the Vancouver service, and expressed its willingness to take it oyer, the steamers to call at a port in New Zealand instead of Brisbane. The Queensland Government had conoutrcd, and New Zealand had boon informed in February, Nothing further had since been done, Tho Federal Government had no intention of abolishing or altering the subsidy, or of doing away with any other contract.
