Mr Bigg movod the second reading of the Tied Homes Bill, The measure is the same as last yoar's. The mover favoured raunicipolisation of the traffic, but urged the necessity for chocking tho proßont monopoly meanwhile. Messrs' Bolt, Lee-Smith and Eraser supported the Bill. The Attorney* General stated that the Government wero taking stops to prevent evasion of the law by olausos now being drafted by tho law officers, Mossrs. Scotland and Twomoy oppored the Bill. On a division tho Bill was thrown out by 16 to 8, HOUSE OF KEPRESENTATIVEB Yesterday Tho Houso mot at 2.30 THE NEW MEMBER The Spoakov announced tho return of tho writ for tho Pahin'm seat, and the oloction of Mr, HawLis, FINANCIAL Li'.BATE Messrs Colvin, Lawry, Lang and Bennet carried on tho financial dobato daring the afternoon, Tho House resumed at 7.80, The financial debate was continued throughout the evening, the speakers being Messrs Withelord, Millar, Sir W. Bussell and Mr Flatman, Tho debate was adjourned, The House roso at midnight
