Is tlio Academy of Music on Saturday evening Montgomery's Populav Entertainers appeared lor the second night oi l heir season hero. Tbcfo was very fair sized audience. Tlio programme was long and interesting. Tho living pictures shown comprised a great number of interesting and amusing subjects. Par-* ticulavly deserving of mention was ilie representation of the last Melbourne Cup, and the lauding of Lord KUchcnor at Southhampton after his ro* turn from South Africa at tho cessation of hostilities, A sories of views represent l * ing a bee farnior at work, and tho different operations employed in beo 'culture, were also particularly interesting. An» other splondid lot otviows wero those of a storm at sea. So realistic wero they that one could almost imagine ono was standing on the dock of tho ship in tho height of ft raging storm. " Just for To-night" was Miss Ettio Hargood's first song, her rendering being highly ap preciatsd, Subsequently slio sail" " Just Next Door," in n vory plonsing manner, the song being illustrated with beautiful still pictures, "Zeno," tho clover juggler, ouco again delighted tho audience with his performance, Mr. Ed« mund Montgomery's songs woll sustained that gentleman's excellent reputation, He rocoived an encore ouch lime ho sung, Harry Hall, tho comedian of tho company, was particularly enjoyable, ho bavin" to respond to soveral recalls. Onco again his" Ho was a married man" threw tho audience into fits of laughter as did also "Father's got 'cm." Mr, Gibson, tho ■' coon impersonator, sung a couplo of coon songs in an acceptable manner, To-night tho entertainers mako their final appearance in Waihi, A completo chango is promised.
