WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting qf the cominittep of the- above was held last evening. Mr A.' Burnett presided over a'fair attendance. Peat, and James Campbell; * Formal permission ~to open the. -main gates of the- racecourse to give access to tile produce shed was received from the ' , Jockey-,,-Club.—--A letter of is to be sent to the Jockey Club. It was decided , that the Association could not see, its-way clear to reduce its-terms to the Horticultural Society, but in the eyent of no damage being done to timber and fittings, the £3 fee would be returned. ■Mr W. Giralett wrote stating that he would be, ..unable- to judge Leicesters at the .coming Show. He suggested that Mr E. Elliot act in his. stead.4-rAgreed to, Messrs Fletcher-and Co., Wellington, are to be informed., there is no, inside space available, for a display of,their acetylene gas generating plant, but 'the. association has no. objection to the apparatus being erected outside. ~ , A donation of 44 was received from Mr A„ Harding, ■ and one of 42 2s from Mr H.
