Association’s Metropolitan Show, at Addington, opened to-day in favoiirahle • weather.- As is the general, rule, the day was devoted principally to preparatory work. Nevertheless, i there was a fairly large attendance of the general publici The displays in the-tents were quite as numerous as at the previous shows, and quite as varied. Only a few stock arrived on the grounds to-day, but; the indications are that in respect to the Show , will ,he quite equal to iis precursors. The entries this year are slightly below -these of last year, this being due largely to the unfavourable season pro-. judicing the sheep classes.
