THE DANGER OF FALSE NEWS WARNING BY SIR E. GREY. Press Association.—Telegraph.—CopyrightReceived November 9, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, November 8. Sir Edward Grey, in the House of Commons, said the alleged publication of articles by the British Ambassador in Vienna criticising, German policy, and the Right Hon; R. McKenna’s speech at the end of September have been the subjects of communication between the Britishand German Governments, but were not of a nature to cause difficulties. The incidents had been construed in Germany as intentional affronts, and had aroused great resentment. The Ambassador and Mr McKenna had been the victimsof newspaper errors. He warned the- country that if false news was recorded and believed public resentment would some, day get beyond the Government’s control.
