SHAKES FIST AND HITS TABLE. Straight Talk to Steel Magnates. ,NEW YORK, November 5. President Taft delivered an angry speech at a banquet in -Pittsburg last night, at which the heads of the Steel Trust .were present.. The President’s indignation was raised by Congressman Littleton, whose criticism, of the. Sherman anti-trust law,' under which the suit for the dissolution of the Steel Corporation has been initiated, was not to the liking of the Chief Magistrate. Shaking his fist at the gathering, Mr Taft declared that this law had been •on the Statute Book for 20 years, and could not 'be interpreted in any other way than it had been construed. ; “But the trusts,” declared the President, “Ijavo been 5 trying to miscontrue it.” As he pounded the table with his hand, Mr Taft said that honest business would not 'suffer by the prosecutions, which had been undertaken ; with the sole object of protecting the individual!
