Arrived—Arapawa, s.s. (10 a.m.), from Wanganui. The Wanganui Supply Company advise that the Moa leaves Wellington for Wanganni at 9, o’clock to-morrow night, ar- : riving here on Saturday morning. She returns the same evening. Departures after we went to press; yesterday wcto the Putiki, at 9.45 p.m., and the Arapawa, at 9.50 p.m., both for Wellington. Both vessels are expected back here in the course of a few days. .There was a strong W.N.W. wind, veering to westerly, to-day, with rather more than a,moderate sea on the bar. The sea outside was rough. Mr C. F, Millward. advises that the ■ “Freight Reduction” steamer Clan Ross - sails from Wellington on the 18th inst., taking Wool for the London January sales. ‘An expected arrival this evening is the Kapiti, wjth a general cargo. She left Wellington last night, and should have been here on this morning’s tide. The heavy weather, however, has apparently delayed .her. The.top-sail schooner Amelia Sims, over ' a week out from Lyttelton, has-been hover- ■ ing.off the coast' for the last few days. If the weather moderates at all, she should make port to-morrow. . The. -Stormbird discharged' a cargo of cement to-day, and took in a load of wool. She .sails for’Wellington to-night.
