K AUK ATE A. The monthly meeting of the above was iield yesterday. Present—Messrs A. McIntosh (chairman), L. Strachan, C. Silcock. F. Jones, and C. Summerville. BANK BOOK.—The ban.k book showed a debit balance of 356 6s Id. Accounts amounting to 39 16s 2d were qmssod for payment. SURFACEMAN.—Mr J. J. Fi’oeman has boon engaged as, surfaceman at 9s a day. WASTE GROUND.—Permission was granted to Mr W. Neilson to fence up to the road formation a certain piece of waste ground which he intended to plant 'in i r ,o£S, GllfclEE—lt-was decided to put-on the grader as soon as possible. / 60ESE.—Several- ratepayers- are "to be served with notices tov,clear off 'gorse.
