PERSONAL.
Mr T. H. Eix, who has been president of the local Band of Hope for some time, past, was last evening farcwelled at a gathering of members of the Band. After a short programme had been rendered by the children, the chairman, Mr J. Upton, presented Mr Six with a handsomelybound and illuminated Bible. Tho recipient suitably replied. Amongst the successful pupils at the recent Pharmacy Board examinations held in Auckland, was Mr William Gower Pinches, junr., only son of Mr William Pinches, architect (late of Wanganui, but now of Auckland). He studied his profession in one of Auckland’s largest pharmacies, and his many friends here will be pleased to know that he has passed his final examination, and is now a qualified chemist. We offer Mr Pinches our congratulations.
