ACCIDENT IN THE BUSH.

MAN KILLED AT TAIHAPE. (Pet United Press Association.) TAIHAPE, November 7, Late yesterday afternoon John McLees, aged 49, a single man, was killed while working in tho bush, log-hauling for Messrs Bennett and Anderson’s mill. He was riding at the rear of a truck when the rope broke and the trucks left the rail. The log rolled over, pinning McLees to the ground and killing him instantly. He was trying to apply tho brake, but failed. His mates called out, warning him ' to get clear, but he persevered in his attempt to stop the runaway.
