He covered the continent in 49 days, meeting with numerous serious accidents. The aeroplane was re-built seven times. The; aviator lost 20 pounds in weight. Tlie. machine was a “Baby Wright.”” ' J AERIAL LIFEBOAT. SAN FRANCISCO, November 2; A patent has been taken out for a flying 1 machine which is equipped with a lifeboat. This lifeboat consists of a''gas-bag attachment which acts automatically on the sudden descent of the aeroplane. The device is the invention of Mr Wyckoff, the inventor of a submarine.
