RIVAL 'FRISCO SERVICES.

Mr Sproul, Sydney agent of the Oceanic Steamship Company, declares that the company has no intention of, abandoning the proposed renewal of the Sydney-San Francisco service, owing to tho decision of the Union Company to extend the Wel-lington-San Francisco service to Sydney. Ho knew some time ago that the Union Company was likely to take the step. It would in no way affect his company, which, lie stated definitely, would make the first sailing from San. Francisco in May or year.
