Lewis Harcourt presided at Mr Redmond’s demonstration at Rawtenstall. Mr Redmond said that Ireland only asked for a subordinate Parliament, and. was willing that the Imperial Parliament should remain unimpaired, in 6rder to curb the Irish from abusing their powers. Irishmen would prefer to remain in the ■lmperial Parliament in numbers to be decided by England’s own wisdom. ’
