Mr L. C. Hawke, teller at the. Bank of Australasia at Featherston, has been transferred to Wanvamn. lie will, be greatly missed in athletic circles. Mr H. Percival has taken over the managership and operation of Messrs John Fuller and Sons’ local picture entertainments. During his previous engagement with the firm, Mr Percival made himself very popular with Wanganui theatregoers, who will be pleased to hear of his promotion. On Saturday last, Mr Burke, for many years an employee of the Sash and Door Company, was presented with a purse of sovereigns, on the occasion of his leaving the service of the Company. The yard foreman, Mr Chaldecott, in making the presentation, referred to Mr Burke’s conscientious services to his employers, and to his well deserved popularity with his fel-low-workers, and he hoped success would attend him in his next undertaking. Mr T. R. Crcsswell, M.A. at one time one of Wanganui's most successful and popular teachers, and who has been for a number of years head master of the Rausiora High School, is at present in town. Old friends will he pleased to renew acquaintance with him.
