Master Paul led for a mile, when Hawick went to the front from Idealism Espartoro put in a great run at the turn and won by 4 lengths, Hawick 10 lengths away. 3.43 2-5. Spring Plate—Labour Day 1, Rirkline 2, St. Petersburg 3. Scratched—Outward, Turna, Somersault. Lady Kilcheran, and Nikon. Labour Day went to the front at the distance and won by two lengths. St. Petersburg a length away. Time. 1.41 1-5. ' Riccarton Welter—St. Felix 1, Masterpiece 3. Bracken 3. Scratched—Nitlisdale. St. Felix was in front all the way. Won by three lengths. Results : Hpnters’ Steeplechase Webfnot 1, Eiro Atn 2, Harkaway 3. Scratched — Golborne, Hautere, and Pukewcra. Webfoot and Blue Mountain raced together till the latter fell at the last fence. Won comfortably by four lengths. Time, 6.32. Gordon Handicap—Bogey 1, Recipe 2, Haronoa 3. Scratched—-Royal Anns 1, Mona. Athol, Taketumn, and Muskcwai. Bogey made all running, and won easily by two lengths. Time 1.2 2-5. Mamifean Hurdles—Delegate 1, Den Quex 2, Sol 3. Scratched—Presently. Delegate was in front all the way, winning by four lengths. Time, 3.22 . King Edward Memorial.—Soultoria 1. Master Wairiki 2, Ngapuka 3. Scratched —Flying Soult.
