FRANCO-GERMAN AGREEMENT.
Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. BERLIN, November 3. Herr Kiderlin Waechter (German Foreign Minister )and M. Gambon (French Ambassador to Germany} have initialled the Congo agrement. The whole of the Franco-German agreement will be signed this week. STATEMENT BY FRENCH MINISTER. Concessions by France. Received November 4, 10.40 a.m. PARIS, November 3. ! M. De Solves ■ announces ■ that the invention covers the Congo, Übangui, imd Logone basins. France cedes from [BO,OOO to 250,000 square kilometres, but retains territory enabling her to build railways linking up French equatorial Africa. Germany recognises Franco’s Tpotectorate in Morocco, and will not face obstacles in the way of military, dicial, and economic reforms. Future sputes by agreement will bo referred the Hague Convention. A DISSATISFIED GERMAN MINISTER. BERLIN, November 3. Herr Lindequist has resigned the denial Secretaryship as he disapproves the agreement.
