STRATFORD MAIN TRUNK RAILWAY
CABINET DECISION. (By Telegraph.—Snecial to Heeald.) WAITOMO CAVES, November 4. Cabinet has decided to start the Strat-ford-Main Trunk Railway at Te Ivoura, which is about five miles south of Ongarue. Tha engineer advises that this saves over six miles of construction, also: a monetary saving of £70,000, besides the upkeep for all time. The ceremony of turning the first sod of the railway at To Eoura will bo arranged at the earliest possible date, the Premier officiating.
