THE WANGANUI SEAT. Mr. Veitch at Wanganui East To-Night. ' Mr W. A. Veitchj Labour candidate for Wanganui, Will address the electors at * Wanganui East to-night, the _place of meeting being the Town Hall. 'Hie chair will be taken at 8 o'clock. Mr . Veitch speaks in the Town Hall, Gonville, on Monday evening next, at 8 o'clock. 11 Mr. HOgan’s Candidature. Mr. Hogan, who returned from Wellington yesterday, will open his campaign iat the Opera HoiVse on Tuesday evening next, not Thursday as was inadvertently stated last evening. It is anticipated that there will be a crowded attendance, as the opening speech of the sitting nieinber is being looked forward to with great interest. 1 The dress circle will be reserved for ladies and their escorts. This evening, Mr. Hogan’s general committee will meet in the Fire Brigade Hall at 7.45 o’clock, when Mr. Hogan will be present and will deliver a short address. ' THE PATE A SEAT. Mr. Pearce’s Candidature. ■ Mr G,,Y. Pearce speaks, at Eapanui tonight, at 8 o’clock, the'place of meeting being Mr Henry’s wbolshed. Mr. Pearce at Brunswick, Sir. G. V, Pearce addressed the electors of Patea at Brunswick last evening, when the hall was crowded. Mr. G. W. Campbell presided. ’• Mr. Pearce, who spoke on the lines of recent addresses, was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence, on the motion of Mr. T. Currie, seconded by Mr. J. Reid. A strong committee Was afterwards set up to work in Mr. Pearce’s behalf. Mr. O’Dea’s Candidature. Mi - P. O’Dea will speak' bn Monday evening in the Mosstbwh School; oh’Tuesday evening in the Westmere Hall, and on Wednesday evening in- the Brunswick Hall. THE WAiMARINO SEAT. Mr 11. W. Smith addresses the eledtofs’ of Waimarino at Mahgamahu to-morrow (Saturday) evening, and at Fordell on Monday evening. MR. HORNBLOW AT OROUA. (Per United Press Association.) ; , FEILDING,; November 3., . ; Mr. R. E. Hornblow, Liberal candidate for Qroua,. addressed a large meeting here last night. He received a splendid hearing throughout. The contest is likely, to prove ail interesting one. OTAKI’S LABOUR CANDIDATE. LF-VIN, November 2. Mr J. Eobertson, Labour candidate for Otaki electorate, addressed the electors at Levin. He favoured labour legislation,-and especially legislation to i prevent- speculation ,in land. Questioned as to how he would vote on a ho-conlidencc motion, he said certainly against the present Government, as if he were satisfied with them he would not he standing. That,' however, did not mean to say lie Would Support Mr Massey. The candidate received a vote of thanks and confidence, no dissentient votes, being given. THE CLUTHA SEAT. , . DUNEDIN, November 2. Mr G. Livingston, of Windsor, has announced himself as a candidate for the Clutha seat. He will stand as an Independent Liberal. -
