Manawatu exhibitors were most successful. The. champion■)hack was Mr. W. H. Gaisford’s, The Joker, the same owner winning in-jjiojst 6f the • hack classes.Draught liofse honours nl&o fell to local' breeders, 11. D. Knight, of. Longburn, being most successful. The Wellington City Corporation won two awards for harness horses. E. Short’s Royal Treasure was the champion draught sire, and the same breeder’s Miss Ivanhoe champion mare. In the harness horse class, G. A Harrison, of Eltham, showed tiie host horse under 15 hands. In thp draught horse classes, the champion stallion over four years was shown by E. Short, of Feilding, while J. D. Mitchell, of Manaia, showed the best colt foaled since August, 1909. E. Short also was given first tor filly foaled since August 1910. and first, second and third for mare with foal at foot. In THE DOG CLASSES, the bulk of the awards went to Palmer ston, Napier, and Wellington breeders, Mrs. J. W. Condor (Marton), being very sucessful in the spaniel division. > Lord Soult being: awarded firsts, and some 1 other'clogs of the same owner secured seconds. R. McAlpine, of Mangaweka. was given the award for best greyhound suitable for coursing. In Skye terriers, Miss L. J. Fergusson (Taihape) secured nearly all the awards. In harriers the North Taranaki Hunt Club took first and second for puppy dogs, novice dogs, open dogs, puppy bitches, novice, bitches, open bitches, and team, and first for brace. D. G. Ricldiford, of Marton took second for novice, bitches and for brace. COMPETITIONS. Best girl rider under 15 years—Sophie Watson 1, Miss Abraham 2, Etta Birchlev 3, Doreen Rait h.e. .
