A WELLINGTON FATALITY.

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. November 1. About 10.30 o’clock on Tuesday evening a man named George Gunther was taken to the hospital suffering from the i effects of an injury supposed to have ■ boon caused by being knocked down by another man near tho corner of Willis and Manners Streets. When admitted to the hospital, -Gunther was unconscious. In that condition ho remained until 3 o’clock this afternoon, when ho died. Gunther was a station hand and belonged to Mastorton, but recently he had been working at Pongaroa. Deceased’s mother, who at present is very ill, and a brother reside at Marten. The police are making inquiries for tho man who is supposed to have been responsible for tho mishap to Gunther. An inquest will be hold to-morrow. *
