DALGETY AND CO.’S WANGANUI SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— At our. Wanganui sale on Wednesday, Ist inst., wo yarded 1500 sheep and 870 cattle, and have to report a fair sale. Sheep were in good demand, all classes of young sheep selling readily under the hammer. Cattle were somewhat dull under the hammer, but we effected a good clearance before the close of the day. We quote: Sheep.—Two-tooth wethers (shorn), 11s; cull do., 8s lid; small shorn 2-tooth ewes, Us; woolly hoggets, 12s sd; cull ewes, Bs. Cattle.—Three-year steers, £5, £5 ss; 2-year do., ,£4 6s; rough do., £3 14s 6d; yearling steers, £2 12s 6d, £2 13s PA, £2 15s 6d, £2 16s 6d; good do., £3 5s to £3 6d; yearling heifers, £2 7s 6d, £2 10a 6d, £2 12s, £3 2s 6d, £3 8s 6d, £3 13s; 2-year heifers, £3 7s 6d to £3 18s; rough yearlings, £1 15s, £2 ss, to £2 8s; store cows, £2 2s. £2 3s 6d, £2 4s 6d, £2 10s, £3 Bs, £3 8s 6d, £3 15s; dairy cows, £3 7s 6d. £4 2s 6d, £4 ss, £5. £6
