Scotch song, lady or gentleman, own selection.—Mrs Lewis (Wanganui), “Robin Adair,” 1; Miss Pacey (Dunedin), “Twine Tr . l > e Me,” 2; Miss Lyons (Auckland!. ivithin a Milo o’ Ediuboro’ Touu,” and Mr W. Aspinall (Auckland), "Annie Laurie,” equal, 3. Contralto solo, for competitors who have never received a fee, “Fascination” (Deseauer). —Miss Roy P. Livingstone (Christchurch) 1, Miss Iva Symes (Wanganui) 2. The judge said the winner gave a very refined reading. Her voice was nicely balanced and showed much better feeling for rhythm than the second nrize-winner. though her voice was not quite so good.
