SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.
VISIT OF MR. NEWTON JONES. Mr Newton Jones, of tho London Sunday School Union, visits Wanganui on November 4th, sth. and 6th. On Saturday evening, in Trinity Schoolroom, Mr Jones meets all the Sunday school teachers of tho town and district, also all interested in any way in the religious upbringing of young people. He has laboured assiduously in large towns and cities, and, in doing so, has not only been the means of great blessing to the young people who have crowded to hear him, but has also strengthened the hands of Sunday school workers. Many of these have received pew ideas and have been made familiar with now methods, which cannot fail to make them more thoughly furnished unto the good work to which they have been called. On Sunday Mr N. Jones gives an address at 11 a.m. in the Gonvillc Town Hall, and speaks in St. Paul’s Church at 3 p.m., at a young people’s rally, and at 8.30 p.m. at an after church rally.
