[iNANGAIIUA IIEBALD.J Fiery Cboss.—A land slip has carried away nearly 100 feet of the machine race. Quartz in the claim presents about the usual show of gold. Just -in - Time. Crushing was finished on the 14th and gave 105 oz 6 dwts 10 grs from 105 tons. The quartz contained an unusual quantity of mullock. El Doeado. Crushing will be commenced as soon as the Fiery Cross finishes at the battery. Hopeful.—Nice looking slate rock is met with in the face, and the reef is expected to be cut at any time. Alexandba.—A new shaft from the surface will be sunk on the line of reef as near as possible to where exposed at the Fiery Cross shaft. Walhalla.—Tunnel in about 470 feet, showing slaty stuff and little water. Boatman's.— Work in low level tunnel is being vigorously pushed on. Golden Fleece.— Tunnel in 150 feet. The reef though thin shows gold plainly both in blue and dark stone. Abgyle. Reef has been followed 60 feet. The lode is solid and compact, 5 feet wide and well defined No. 2 South. The battery is steady in operation and crushing will be continued until Christmas. Comet.—The face of workings in the tunnel has changed again to very hard rock. Andebson's. Phq;nix.—ln six weeks the mine will be in working order, and ready to send 3tone to the Westland battery. VtcTOBiA. —• Reef, before reported 18 inches, has widened to two feet in the face in middle tunnel. Golden Fleece.—Both paddocks full of stone. Hands now sloping out. Ajax.—Machinery in full work again, and, barring accidents, will not stop till Christmas. [lyell abous.] Monte Cueisto.—Blocking out was commenced on Monday. The blocks are seventy feet wide, and the quality of the stone first-class. Centeal Bullee.—Stripping the face of the hill to prove leaders has been successful. The leaders, nearly close together, are thin, but contain exceed, ingly rich gold. Little Wonder.—Mr Thos. Rowlandson, formerly of the Break o' Day, has been appointed manager. Work has been resumed on the Stockyard leader, which is from six to nine inches thick, and is estimated to go at least 3ozs to the ton. Mabuia.—Still crushing stone from three different leaders, at the Little Wonder machine.
