At 1,30 p.m. yesterday the Wallace crossed the bar with the party of immigrants on board bound for the Karamea, the sttamer having been unable to land them there on account of the heavy break along the shore. With the present threatening weather the Wallace is likely to remain in port for a few tides. The brigantine Esther cleared at the Wellington Customs for West port on Thursday last, with a cargo of iron rails, ex ship Douglas. The Grey River Argus, noting the departure of the Alma for Melbourne, s:>ys she left Greymouth with foremast, foretopmast, mainmast, and mizenmast only sanding, so that as nearly as possible, she is in jury rig. We wish the Alma a safe and speedy passage, under her curtailed proportions, and <ve shall be pleased to rend the announcement of her arrival at Melbourne, ■when the present temporary repairs are to be superseded by others of much_ more permanent and extensive character. Amorgst the crow newly shipped, Captain Waters has secured the services ot' an experienced rigger, so that the necessary work to be done will be carried out efficiently.
