She will probably bring nominated immigrants for the Coast, ex ship Chile. The St. Kilda arrived on Tues 'ay evening from Wanganui, ami discharged her cattle freight at the Sou'h Spit next morning. In coming in the St. Kilda had some trouble in clearing a snag now permitted to obstruct the fairway of the northern point of the island. The tide had covered a t mporary beacon put there, and it was only after three or four attempts (at times attended with the risk of being piled up on the shingle spit) that the St. Kilda rounded it and steamed clear, into the lagoon. The boat did not leave on Wednesday night, f r Greymouth, as projected ; a telegram having been received that the bar at that port was dangerous for her entrance, the channel still making to the northward. Yesterdny, tl e St. Kilda discharged the balance of her cargo hen , and left for Nelson and Wanganui, •whence she will steam, to Auckland. Her passengers for Greymouth will tranship to the steamer Murray, The Grey bar was yesterday reported at the Telegraph office as "good," the Hokitika bar " smooth," and Westport, " moderate swell." The Grey River Aigus says:—"lt is understood a satisfacto'y I'rrangenient has been made between all parties who have suffered by the injury done the Alma during the recent storm through which die passed. The hatches were taken off on the 22nd, and the cargo, as far as could be ascertained, was not nearly so much damaged as it was supposed it would be.
