(Before Joseph Giles. Esq., R.M.) Tuesday, Skpt.~m.l3er 29. civil cases. Hassell v. Hodges and Hodges.—Mr Shapter for plaintiff. J. N. Hassell fanner at t\e Waimongaroa, sued the defendants, miners, for £2 damages caused by their entering on his land, pulling down his fence and not replacing the same. Defendants did not appear being probably prevented by the flood, and on that account the case was adjourned until Tuesday next. George Clark v. P. J. Biuen.—Mr Fisher for plaintiff, Mr Shapter for defendant. Claim for £lO Gs Gd, for board, refreshments, and attendance, supplied at the Oddfellows Hotel. The defendant had paid £1 Ss 6d into Court, filed a set off for £2 2s for professional attendance, and disputed the balance of account. Judgment given for £3 Gs Gd and costs £2. ,—«*> WESTPORT WARDEN'S COURT. (Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.) Tuesday, September 29. applications.
