"Freeman. —Elizabeth Anderson of Dcadnian's Creek coinplained against John Freeman, that he had, on the ISth instant, used insulting language to her, calling her <i venous violator of commandment number seven, and other choice epithets, contrary to the statute made and provided. 'lhe accused averred that the complainant had saluted him in a very unladylike manner. The case was dismissed CIVIL CASE. Patterson v. Lavette. —Claim for £lO balance due on dishonored bill, judgment by default for amount claimed and costs 13s. Immediate execution granted. WESTPOIiT WARDEN'S COURT. (Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.) Tuesday, June 30. APPLICATIONS. W. M. Phiilpot.—Kacefrom Beaton's Creek to claim on Scotchman's Lead, south of Little Deadman's Creek, half mile north and soutli ; oue sluice head. Granted. Same, for tail race from Little Deadman's Creek to claim, 500 yards. Granted. E. M'Dowell. —Head race, from Little Deadmau's Creek, to claim at Scotchman's Lead; 200 yards, east and west ; one sluice head. Granted. John Freeman, for dam and extension of head water race and tail race, Pakihis, at Deadman's. No appearance. K. M'Dowell. —Registration of dam abandoned by AVeetman, on Pahikis, at the head of Little Deadman Creek. For storm and drainage water. Granted. GOLD MINING LEASES. John Gilmer, AV". South side of Mokihinui river, 14 years, liecommended. J. 11. Price, Lewis Sweet, and G others. Caledonian ; 16-J- acres. No 2 south of Perotti's, Maori creek, Mokihinui, 15 j ears. No appearance. AGRICULTURAL LEASES. An objection by E. Roche to recommendation of lease applied for and notified as intended to bo granted, was partly heard, and the Warden decided to receive statement to forward to Provincial Secretary's office.
