(Before Joseph Giles, Esq., E.M.) Tuesday, June 23. Charlotte Cook v. Ann Connelly.— Two charges ; one of using threatening language, and another of using abusive and insulting words. Defendant was fined .£lO for each offence, with the alternative of six months imprisonment with hard labor. CIVIL CASES. Falla v. Messetic—Claim ot £44 12a for goods supplied to one Black to order of defendant. . Mr Fisher for plaintiff; defendant in person. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed, and costs £6 Bs. Immediate execution granted. I R. Whyte v. Mary De Loree, of Reefton.—Balance of account, £1 14s 3d, for women's wearing apparel. Judgment for plaintiff by default. Costs, 9s. Graves and Fleming v. James Galbraith. —Claim for £2 4s~j for Bat, puggeree, collar, tie, &c. No appearance of defendant. Judgment in amount claimed, and costs 9s.

Hughes v. M'Douough. —Claim for £3 9s 6d for billiards and refreshments. Plaintiff by his agent, George' Jarvis; defendant by counsel, Mr Fisher. Nonsuited, the bill of particulars being undated. Costs allowed, counsel 21s, and defendant 10s. M'Padden v. Burley.—Claim for £ll 18s 2d, balance of store account. Judgment for plaintiff in amount claimed, and costs 19s.
